The Bluetick Coonhound is a dog breed from the Hound group and has a lovely and affectionate charm with a beautiful bluetick that may enjoy a short nap in the shade.

This dog specializes in searching the mines without getting tired, as well as is a dog with a bold and sharp mind. It is a fast and nocturnal hunting dog. The Bluetick Coonhound is named after the dog's coat with shiny black and blue spots.

A male Bluetick Coonhound is 22 to 27 inches straight to the base of the dog's shoulder and 21 to 25 inches for the female.

A male dog with a blue-black patch coat can weight 55 to 80 pounds and a female dog 45 to 65 pounds. Together, their life span can be from birth to the last 12 years.

The Blueticks can be cursing for the Coonhound's chopping, bawling, or barking bark but nothing short of a boon to hunters.

These two colors are seen in Blue Ticked and Blue Ticked & Tan, whose coat is marked with black spots.

Maintains an affectionate, affectionate behavior with the owner but a little affection with the family, the spontaneity can be a little different. Blueticks have a tolerant, affectionate and friendly nature with children, but children should still be kept under supervision.

The coat of Blueticks dogs has short, soft hair, due to which there is no need for daily bathing and shedding. Shedding can be done by bathing with shampoo once a month or when it is in the mud.
